Arlington, March 6, 2007 - The Donruss Playoff Trading Card Company announced today that they will be teaming up with the Dallas Desperados to produce a limited edition trading card set for the upcoming 2007 season. Produced under the Donruss name, the 8-card set will be available only to those attending the Desperados' eight home games this season.
One player card will be distributed at each home game to the first 5,000 fans entering the American Airlines Center. The Desperados' home opener will be March 10th versus the Tampa Bay Storm and starting quarterback, Clint Dolezel, will be the first card given out to fans.
"We're very excited to be working with the Desperados on this promotion," said Donruss Playoff Marketing Director Scott Prusha. "The passion of the fans is amazing and this is a unique and creative way to reach out to those passionate fans."
Featuring current Desperados players, the names and dates for distribution of the cards will be as follows:
- March 10th versus the Tampa Bay Storm - Clint Dolezel
- March 31st versus the Austin Wrangles - Will Pettis
- April 5th versus the Columbus Destroyers - Colston Weatherington
- April 16th versus the Philadelphia Soul - Devin Wyman
